If you have answered yes to any of the above, then our Taste Gourmet Coffee Lovers Course is for you.
Believe or not, coffee making is a fine art. Our qualified barista would like to share with you the secrets of fine coffee making over a two and a half hour session. No experience or prior knowledge is required, just passion and a strong desire to learn. And you’ll get to drink some great coffee, some of which you will make yourself.
During this session, you will:
Learn the history of coffee and how coffee is roasted and blended
Learn how a good coffee should look, smell and taste;
Experience the difference between great coffee and awful coffee
Learn to achieve a perfect extraction by making your own coffee on the Taste professional machine (an ‘under extracted’ coffee is weak/watery/sour, an ‘over extracted’ coffee is burnt/bitter)
How to texture (froth) milk correctly
Learn why milk is so important to a good coffee
Learn the correct milk temperature and what type of milk is best for coffee texturing
Learn the right and wrongs of milk texturing and how to texture silky creamy milk
Learn the different types of coffee served in a café and how to make these coffees
How the espresso machine and grinder works and basic maintenance tasks such as grind setting and grind adjustment
Practise your newly learnt skills on Taste’s own professional coffee machine
Meet different people from all walks of life, who are all interested in what makes that wonderful coffee experience
Practical Experience
You will have hands on time using Taste Gourmet’s own professional coffee machine and grinder.
Certificate On Completion
You will receive a personalised certificate detailing what you’ve learned.
Course Notes
Free course notes will be provided, including a ‘recipe sheet’ on how to make your favourite coffees
Free Coffee
You will receive a 150gm bag of Taste Gourmet’s own house blend, Amanti’s Golden Moka roasted beans or ground to your needs (valued at $10.50).

You will also receive a 10% discount on any Taste Gourmet products or accessories purchased during the session.

Bookings
Bookings are essential and must be made in advance. All bookings must be pre paid by cash or credit card. Please complete a separate booking form for each person attending. You can use on our ON-LINE BOOKING FORM. We will phone you to finalise payment details.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend on the booked date, you may send some else in your place. For cancellations received 7 days before the course, if our course schedules permit, we may be able to move your booking to another date, however this cannot be guaranteed. Cancellations are not refundable.
Class Sizes
A minimum of three and a maximum of six people will form each class. If there is not the required number for your chosen class we will move your booking to your second preference class and let you know.

Please arrive a few minutes before the start of the course so we begin promptly.
