It’s been a new adventure for Brian and Michele who sea-changed to the Coast two years ago after six years running a highly acclaimed gourmet food store in Canberra.
Taste Gourmet has quickly become a popular place for locals, family and friends to meet, or to taste and talk food and coffee with our experienced staff. Our hard work has been recognised in the past year as we have been voted as the WINNER of the Central Coast Advocate Tru Local Business Awards for Central Coast Cafe of the Year. We were also a Finalist in the Deli/Gourmet Food category. And the winning continued with our own Sharon Thacker winning Central Coast Employee of the Year.
We were also a finalist in the Sun Weekly 2007 Central Coast Local Business Awards in the category of Outstanding Café. And in 2008, we just been announced as finalist for the second year in the Sun Weekly 2008 Central Coast Local Business Awards in the category of Outstanding Café.Thank you to everyone who nominated and voted for us, we are very grateful. We are very honoured to have been recognised in these prestigious awards, particularly as we have only been open for a little over two years. We were also listed in the prestigious Sydney Morning Herald 2008 Good Food Guide.

A delicatessen with small goods cut to order, salads made fresh daily in our own kitchen & fresh produce and breads from our suppliers arriving daily. There’s an impressive selection of our own gourmet products, hand made regional foods, and imported European and Asian delicacies. Our fridges have premium small goods, gourmet meals and sausages, and take home meals. Best of all, we seek out new, interesting ingredients and products so you’ll find something new to try on every shelf.
Sod rop in to our award winning Cafe for a cup of Amanti coffee (the bext coffee on the Coast or it's free) and a freshly baked cake, or choose from our extensive all day menu where the emphasis is on fresh, innovative menu selections prepared with the best ingredients in our special Cafe style. We are open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and coffee seven days a week. , and we even prepare catering platters. And we've expanded our opening hours - we are now open for dinner everry Friday night.
Our great cafe food is also available as takeaway or as Gourmet to Go Take Home - we have a huge slection, and it makes dinenr so easy!
